ABOUT THE ROLE

The Northall Assistant Bar Manager is responsible for assisting the Bar Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the bar at The Northall, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience. This role involves managing bar staff, ensuring the highest standards of service, and contributing to the development of the bar’s offerings.

This role demands excellent leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for delivering luxury service in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous experience in an assistant management role within a bar or hospitality environment, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end bar setting.
  • Proven ability to manage a team and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong understanding of bar operations, including stock control, inventory management, and ordering.
  • Experience in creating and implementing drink menus, managing bar promotions, and enhancing guest experiences.
  • A solid knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers, with a passion for staying current on industry trends.
  • Experience handling guest complaints and resolving issues with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong desire to learn and develop a career within luxury hospitality
  • Good level of written and spoken English
  • Flexibility to work varied hours
  • Takes pride in own professional grooming
  • Ability and resilience to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Pride and attention to detail in your work
  • Confidence & professionalism when interacting with high profile guests
  • Bartender or Hospitality Management qualifications (such as WSET or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
  • Certification in Responsible Alcohol Service (where applicable).
  • Food Hygiene or Health & Safety certification (preferably at level 2 or higher).
  • Ongoing training or professional development in mixology, customer service, or related fields would be an asset.
